This training is being provided in Montana, therefore it is the responsibility of each individual to verify with your licensing agency that the approval listed above will meet the requirements of your local board. We believe from review of both states licensing information that this course will meet all requirements for master's level clinicians in both Washington and Montana yet it is your responsibility to verify this independently. If you have further questions about this, please reach out to Ceci Garrett at ceci@cecigarrett.com

Each professional is responsible for the individual requirements as stipulated by his/her licensing agency. Please contact your individual licensing board/regulatory agency to review continuing education requirements for licensure renewal. Please note: You must attend "live" (in real-time) for the duration of the training to earn CE credits.

Policies

Refund Policy for Lightening the Load Counseling (LTLC) PLLC Continuing Education Courses

Tickets to training events are non-refundable/non-transferable. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Refunds will not be issued for any reason other than the event's cancellation by LTLC or in resolution to certain grievances.

LTLC Cancellation Policy

On the rare occasion that LTLC would need to cancel the event, all participants will receive an email from us as soon as possible notifying them of the cancellation. Participants will be allowed to attend the postponed event or have their registration fee refunded, if a paid event.

LTLC Grievance Policy

Lightening the Load Counseling PLLC is fully committed to conducting all activities in strict conformance with the American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles of Psychologists, the NASW Code of Ethics (2017), the CASW Code of Ethics (2005), and the National Board for Certified Counselors Code of Ethics.

Lightening the Load Counseling PLLC will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be nondiscriminatory in promotional activities, program content, and in the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be the responsibility of the Continuing Education Director, Cecilia Garrett, LICSW, in consultation with her Advisory and Consultation Board.

While Lightening the Load Counseling PLLC goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues that come to the attention of the staff that require intervention and/or action on the part of the staff or an officer of Lightening the Load Counseling. This procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances. When a participant, either orally or in written format, files a grievance and expects action on the complaint, the following actions will be taken.

1. If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, or the style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put his/her comments in written format. At this time, Lightening the Load Counseling is a solo practitioner entity so the grievance will be reviewed by Continuing Education Director and then taken to the Advisory and Consultation Board that supports LTLC. There is no guarantee of confidentiality at this time.

2. If the grievance concerns a workshop offering, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered, the CE Director will mediate and will be the final arbitrator, unless the CE Director was the instructor for the workshop. If the CE Director was the instructor for the workshop, LTLC's Advisory and Consultation Board will mediate and be the final arbitrator. If the participant requests action, the arbitrator will:

a. attempt to move the participant to another workshop, or

b. provide a credit for a subsequent year's workshop, or

c. provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee.

Actions 2b and 2c will require a written note, documenting the grievance, for record keeping purposes. The note need not be signed by the grieved individual.

3. If the grievance concerns the Lightening the Load Counseling PLLC CE program, in a specific regard, the Continuing Education Director will attempt to arbitrate.

Please contact Cecilia Garrett [1800 S Clover Dr Ste 2, Moses Lake, WA, 509-418-9860] to submit a complaint, or if you have additional questions.
